MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH THE SUPERNATURAL OF GOD
In 1975, my wife Grace and I started to attend an Evangelic Pentecostal Church with Pastor Teixeira
and his wife Leonor Antunes, a lovely anointed couple of Pentecostal ministers of God in South Africa
After receiving Jesus in our hearts, confessing Him as our only Lord and Saviour to be born-again, we started to desire to be baptized with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking with new tongues as per Mark 16:17
With Grace, my wife, it was quick and easy as she asked Jesus to baptize her in the Holy Spirit and there she was infilled and speaking in tongues of the Holy Spirit as Jesus promised
With me was very hard but I never gave up on my desire. It took me seven years to get it-I was just waiting for the Lord to do it in the same way that He did with my wife
One day, I decided to exercise my faith in the Lord and His Word-asking, believing that I received it already and confessing or declaring with my mouth that I was filled already with the Spirit and confessing that I could speak in tongues as the evidence of my infilling
Romans 4:17, ... God calls those things which do not exist yet as though they did
The reality was that I could not. Even so I went to bed and fell asleep confessing that I was filled and I could speak in tongues
What happened?
During my sleep, I had my first vision-I saw a very thick and high cross standing and facing me in solid gold and a big and beautiful gold crown adorned with beautiful red Rubis all around the crown and the vertical pole of the cross was inside this crown. It was so vivid!
When I woke up in the morning I still could not speak in tongues
When I arrived at the kitchen to prepare my breakfast, softly I started to sing a song thanking God for Jesus and the Blood of the Cross
As I was singing all of a sudden, the words of the song, changed to a spiritual language that I never learned and I never spoke before. I couldn't anything that my mouth was speaking
It made me feel so happy and so in love with the Lord
That was on a Sunday morning. Then in church, Pastor Teixeira asked me to go preach in the afternoon at another one of our churches and there while I was preaching the Word, one of our elders saw a vision of a white dove descending on me
That encounter was my first experience with the supernatural of God that opened the door for what the Lord is doing today through His anointing and living presence
As you get to experience these supernatural encounters
for yourself, you will be blown away by the nature of God-JOY, LOVE, JUSTICE!
